The System Administrator Officer 1 role is to ensure the secure operation of mission computer systems, including servers, workstations, and network infrastructure in accordance with Computer Network Defense (CND) directives, internal processes and procedures, and organization-specific security requirements.
Also acts as a central point of contact for the vendor team leadership responsible for contractor management, PM schedule/planning, and corrective work task coordination for Critical Environment (CE) team activities. He/she will partner with local training team(s) to ensure all staff quals support current maintenance requirements to ensure that the right number of qualified individuals are available at the right times to enable the fast, smooth execution of CE work activities. This person will also manage and coordinate third-party vendors to ensure that the workload is balanced from day to day and that third-party activities have sufficient CE team resources onsite to be adequately supervised. Maintain and improve the CMMS accuracy and completeness. A specialist who will focus on training supplier resources on CMMS , CMMS system support, i.e., escalation for CMMS Issues, audit of CE ticket performance, ability to generate CMMS reports supporting KPIs, review and analysis of team workflow performance, and input into the iterative improvement of team processes.
The System Administrator Officer is to deploy, maintain and operate security and audit systems and their corresponding or associated software. Responsibilities include:
System Administrator Officer shall conduct regularly scheduled reviews and audits on internal systems and propose plans to correct deficiencies. The individual shall implement approved fixes as coordinated with other department personnel. The hosting of third-party audits as required in order to maintain certifications and compliance certificates shall also be overseen by the individual.
The System Administrator Officer develops, implements, maintains and oversees the enforcement of internal security policies and procedures.
The System Administrator Officer must have one of the following: CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP (may be obtained within 3 months of hire).
A TS/SCI Clearance with Poly is required.
